

Who We Support
The Sunflower Project, formerly known as the Sunflower Trust, offers support for children and young people of school age who have experienced a bereavement in Guernsey. Nobody should feel alone in their grief, and we aim to walk alongside families with hope and compassion.
Our services:

Information, advice and resources for parents and carers. We have a wide range of books available for families.

One-to-one bereavement support for children and young people aged 7-18.

Family support sessions for younger children.

Remembrance events for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Christmas.

Monthly Sunflower Club for children and young people bereaved of a parent or sibling to access peer support and have fun.

Annual therapeutic residential weekend and family trip to Herm.

Training for professionals on understanding grief in young people.

Making a Referral
If you know a child or young person who has experienced the death of someone important to them and would benefit from bereavement support, please fill in the referral form above with as much information as possible, and parent/carer consent, and email a completed copy to referrals@youthcommission.gg
How you can help them
When someone important in a child or young person's life dies, we might not know what a normal reaction is or how we can help.
